First ever Deepavali Lanterns and diya making workshop in city on October 25,26

Mangaluru, October 23, 2019: The Kadri Rocks Art Gallery, an art and heritage center located in Mangaluru will be conducting their first ever Deepavali Lanterns and diya making workshop on October 25th and 26th, 2019. This two-day workshop will be open to all who love and enjoy the rich traditions of the Tulunadu people.

The workshop will be conducted by one of Mangalore’s most respected and renowned lantern (goodu deepa) craftsman Pranesh Kudroli along with popular versatile mixed media artist Rajesh Shetty. Mr.Kudroli will be helping participants make their own goodu deepas while Mr.Shetty will be conducting a demo on how to make clay deepas (this will be only a demo since deepas do not dry fast and need time to bake).

Both the esteemed artists will be conducting the same workshop on both Friday, 25th October and Saturday, 26th October so that their fellow Mangaloreans can attend one of the days according to their convenience.

Day 1- Friday, October 25: Time – 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Day 2- Saturday, October 26: Time – 10:00am to 1:00pm
