First birthday with transplanted heart for 31year old

Mangaluru, July 10, 2017: Faisal Byari, aged 31, from the coastal town of Kundapur, marked his birthday a first one on July 8, Saturday. In fact, it was on July 8, 2016, he had got a fresh lease of life after undergoing a successful heart transplant at Manipal Hospitals in Bengaluru.

Faisal celebrated the ’first birthday’ of his second phase of life by cutting the cake along with Manipal Heart Institute cardiothoracic and vascular surgery department head N S Devananda at the Pathrika Bhavan at Mangaluru. It was an emotional affair for all present and the human touch was very palpable.
