A group of kids was bursting crackers at Classic Home Apartments near Marnamikatte at around 10:00 p.m. on Oct 26 Wednesday, in the course of which 2 vehicles parked nearby were damaged.

A Pulsar was damaged 80 percent while an Indica car was partially damaged. The fire was caused by excessive bursting of firecrackers in the parking lot. According to an eye witness, the other vehicles in the parking lot were saved only because of the prompt arrival of the fire service.

Reportedly, most of the residents had gone out for Diwali and those who were at home came to know of the incident only when the fire fighters arrived on the scene.

Fortunately, nobody was injured.
