Fire mishap at auto works unit at Kannur

Mangalore, July 9, 2013: A fire mishap has been reported from the Hindustan Auto Works at Kannur on July 9, Tuesday. The fire broke out when the welding work was underway.

 

 

 

 

Luckily, a major casualty was averted as the gas cylinder did not burst. Though the fire service department was informed, the locals and the  firm employees had doused the fire before the fire tender vehicles could arrive.

The employees said that the fire service vehicle did not arrive even 20 minutes after it was informed.
