Fire crackers weighing 38 kg stocked in general stores seized

Karkala, Nov 13, 2023: Karkala Police who raided a shop at Sacharipete have seized explosive materials weighing 38 kg and worth several thousands of rupees.

 

As per rules green crackers with less chemical content have to be stored in separate godowns with seven feet compound walls. Also there should be no houses in a radius of 100 meters.

However, police who gathered that crackers were kept in a general store raided the place and seized 38 kg crackers worth around Rs 41,370.

Karkala Rural Police have registered a case.
