Fire accident in post office at DC office building

Mangalore, Apr 2, 2013: Several documents in the post office located on the first floor of the DC office building in Mangalore, were destroyed in a fire mishap reported on April 2, Tuesday.

 

 

The fire was first noticed at around 11.15 am and it soon spread to the nearby table where there were documents and a number of application forms. The fire service personnel were immediately intimated  and the fire doused. However, the office staff said several forms and documents which were on a table close by the place where the fire was first noticed, were burnt.

It is suspected that a spark ignited by something thrown into the waste bin had triggered the fire
