Financial distress drives fisherman to suicide

Kundapur, May 17, 2019: A 40 year old fishermen  who was reportedly facing financial distress, ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house at Kanchugodu in Hosadu village near Gangolli.

The deceased is Subraya Kharvi. It is gathered that he was burdened with heavy loans and was also disappointed with poor fish catch.

To add to that  he was  also ailing and was discharged from hospital on Wednesday itself. However within hours he had ended his life. 

Gangolli Police have registered a case.
