Fin. Min’s hundred crore allocation to be used for RUDSETIs

Ujire, Aug 15, 2014: Chairing annual staff conference of RUDSETI at Dharmasthala  recently,  Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade stated,  with the union finance minister sanctioning Rs 100 crore for rural skill development, it has been planned to use the grant for implementing the programme on the lines of Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RUDSETI).

 The Rural Development ministry had directed RUDSETI Chief Project Coordinator K N Janardhan to submit a proposal on the implementation of the project and the proposal has been submitted to the ministry. A first phase meeting on the submitted proposal was convened at Ahmedabad, he said.   Heggade declared that if the proposal is accepted by the government, then Rs 100 crore grant will be utilised for imparting skill development training through 15 RUDSETIs. The institutes provide training, motivation and guidance to the unemployed youth to take up self employment. The syllabus and training pattern has been upgraded in tune with the changing science and technology, new opportunities and loan facilities, Heggade said.   He told that approximately three lakh youth have been self employed after availing training in RUDSETI in last 25 years. Henceforth, the RUDSETIs aim at training 3.5 lakh youth every year.

Sri Vivekananda Youth Movement (Mysore) Founder President R Balasubramaniyam said that the nation can witness social reformation by training and guiding youth in right direction. Development requires skill development and a will power. Equality can be attained by not weakening the rich, but by uplifting the poor.
