Extended Mangaluru Central-Tiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat train flagged off by PM Modi

Mangaluru, Mar 12, 2024: The extended Mangaluru Central- Tiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Ahmedabad in Gujarat through video conferencing on March 12, Tuesday.

The train will be operational on six days of the week excluding Wednesdays. The train will leave Mangaluru at 6.15 am and reach Tiruvananthapuram at 3.05 in the noon. The train will depart from Tiruvananthapuram at 4.05 pm and reach Mangaluru at 12.40 am.

During the inauguration, the Prime Minister announced the launch of 10 additional Vande Bharat Express trains nationwide, emphasizing that these trains signify a vision for the railway sector.


At the Mangaluru Central Railway Station, the flagging off ceremony was attended among others by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, Palghat Division DRM Arun Kumar Chaturvedi and other railway officials.
