Executive meeting of State Working Journalists’ Association inaugurated

Mangaluru, Apr 29, 2019 :  A healthy society can be created when  media in its various forms including print, visual and social media discharge their duties with diligence duly understanding their responsibilities, said ZP CEO Selvamani R.

 

 

 

He was speaking after inaugurating the state level executive committee meeting of the State Working Journalists’ Union held at Patrika Bhavan here on April 29, Monday under the aegis of the  DK District Working Journalists’ Union.

 Shivanand Tagadoor, President of State  Journalists’ Association  who presided over the function said the Association founded in 1932 by D V Gundappa has earned the  credit of being one of the best journalists’ body in the nation.

On this occasion B V Mallikarjunaiah, the President of Indian Working Journalists Federation was felicitated on behalf of the District Working Journalists’ Union.

Indaje Srinivas Nayak, President of DK District Working Journalists’ Union,  Jagannath Shetty Bala, former president and others were present.

Over 80 office bearers from various districts are participating in the meeting.
