Mangaluru, Jan 08, 2021: Former MLA J R Lobo has come down heavily on the Mangaluru City Corporation for what he termed the failure in ensuring cleanliness in the city.
Speaking to reporters here on January 8, Friday, he said cleanliness situation in the city was worse at present and recalled how the city had earlier won many awards for cleanliness.
He alleged that wastes were not collected on time and there was no proper waste disposal method. Wastes disposed carelessly has also led to stray dog menace, he said and claimed that during the Congress rule the situation was much better and that any issue was resolved at the earliest.
Opposition leader in MCC Abdul Rauf, Corporator Shashidhar Hegde and others were present.
