Eshwarappa seeks White Paper on water crisis management by state govt

Udupi, April 13, 2016:  Senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa   has alleged that state ministers and officials have never thought about visiting drought hit areas.Speaking to reporters after visiting  Kurkalu, Ninnipade villages  which are affected by drought, along with BJP leaders on April 13, Wednesday,  Eshwarappa said  Udupi district minister Vinay Kumar Sorake  has failed to mitigate the water problem.

The BJP team which visited Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday also stated  that the promised  303 drinking water units promised by the state government have not come up.

He alleged that the 29 multi-village drinking water projects initiated in Udupi district when the BJP was in power, has not yet been completed. Eshwarappa also demanded a white paper on the measures taken to mitigate water problem by the present government as well as the  previous BJP government.

Udupi District BJP Chief Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Gurme Suresh Shetty, ZP member Geetanjali Suvarna and others were present.
