Entrepreneur from Shirva killed in a road accident in Mumbai

Udupi July 20, 2016:   A serial accident that occurred in Mumbai’s Chembur claims life of an Industrialist from Shirva. The incident took place on July 19, Tuesday morning.

Abdul Hameed(45) is the deceased, son of Mehamood Hassan. A resident of Shirva in Udupi District.

It is learnt that serial accident took place between the Innova, Swift Sezire  and Taxi . Abdul Hameed who was driving Innova car went out of his control and landed on the taxi plying from the opposite direction. Hameed died on the spot. The taxi driver, Nandlal Jaiswal (46), a resident of Vartak Nagar in Thane, and his passenger, Vijay Kelkar (48), died on the spot. Sirwa was rescued, but declared dead on arrival at the Sion Hospital. The occupants of the Swift Dzire car - Mahesh Kukulekar (38) and Ajay Jadhav (33), civil engineers and residents of Kharghar and Vashi, escaped with minor injuries. They were admitted to Shatabdi Hospital in Govandi, but discharged soon.

Abdul Hameed is survived by wife and three children. His last rites will be performed in his home town.
