Enroll names in voters list: DC

Mangalore, Oct 11, 2014: Every citizen  who has attained the age of 18 should be enrolled in the electoral rolls, said DK DC  A B Ibrahim,  Speaking at a meeting here on Thursday, he said that those youth who complete 18 years as on January 1, 2015 are eligible to enroll their names.

A special drive will be held to revise the electoral list.  Since colleges comprise a majority of this age-group, college principals should take measures to distribute Form 6 in colleges and get them submitted to the authorities concerned. Application forms will be available with booth level officers, he added.

BLOs will have applications for the inclusion, deletion and change of address.  ZP CEO Tulasi Maddineni said that all the colleges should make arrangement to include youth in the electoral list. The students should produce suitable ID for the registration of names.  Additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu was present.
