Engineering student jumps to death from building at Hampankatta

Mangaluru, July 25, 2018: A 20 year old  engineering student has  committed suicide by jumping off a building at Hampankatta in the city on July 25, Wednesday morning at around 8.30.

The deceased is Guruprasad, son of Manoj, a resident of Jeppinamogaru.   Guruprasad who was a student of a private engineering college at Valachil was reportedly depressed since some time. Though he was immediately rushed to Wenlock by  locals with the help of police, he breathed his last at the hospital.

His father Manoj as usual had dropped him at the Kankanady bus stop. However, Guruprasad  instead of proceeding towards his college as usual by bus, went inside a private building at Hampankatta and jumped down.

 Bunder police have registered a case.
