Speaking on the occasion, Monappa Bhandary, BJP leader and former MLC accused the government of failing to deliver  justice to Endosulfan victims who are  leading a life of great struggle amid health problems that have even left many crippled for life. Pointing out that it was the erstwhile BS Yeddyurappa  government which first offered compensation of Rs 50,000 to 231 victims, he said the present Congress government was however not determined to help the victims.

Sridhar Gowda, President of Endosulfan Virodhi Horata Samithi of Kokkada  said the state government has failed to  adhere to the High Court  orders on providing monthly pension, offering free medical check-up, medicines and bus passes for all the 7500 Endosulfan victims of the state. They are even deprived of monthly pension since December 2014, he alleged. He also questioned why the government was not releasing funds for the Endosulfan victims when it has ample funds to launch various schemes.

A memorandum enlisting the demands of Endosulfan victims was presented to the DC on the occasion.
