Elderly man found murdered in a house at Navunda

Kundapur, March 19, 2016 : A  62 year old man who lived all alone in his house at Navunda has  been found murdered  on March 18, Saturday.

The deceased person is Madhava Poojari alias Masti (62). It is learnt he had invited his daughter and son-in-law for breakfast at his house on Saturday.

However, the daughter was shocked  to see the door locked from inside and none responding. The door had to be finally broken open to find Madhava dead inside the bathroom in a pool of blood.

There is information that the killers had also stolen the jewellery in the house. Madhava Poojary’s wife stays in Mumbai. The family was supposed to travel to Mumbai  on Monday. A ladies purse  with the keys of the cupboard from where jewellery might have been stolen was found  inside a well  located in front of the house.

Madhava Poojary is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.

Byndoor Police have registered a case and investigations are in progress.
