Elderly man found dead beneath Ullal bridge; suicide suspected

 Mangaluru, May 15, 2019 :  An elderly man  was found dead beneath the Ullal bridge on NH 66 on Wednesday. Police suspect this to be a case of suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Lokayya of  Madoor near Kotekar. He is said to be around 70 years of age.  He was reported missing   since the past three days. The suspicion is that he had ended his life by jumping into the river. However the reason behind the extreme step is not known.

The body was found swollen and the face unrecognizable. Some people who spotted the body had informed the police.
