Elderly couple from Ambalpady united in death too

Udupi, Jul 21, 2017: An elderly couple from Amabalpady after leading life for years together, united in death too. Their love for each other was so strong, they simply could not live without each other.

 

The deceased are Somayya Shettigar (85), and his wife, Netravati Shettigar (76) residing near Ram Mandir in Ambalpady.


Family sources say that both were ill due to aged realted health problems. Somayya’s health worsened and he breathed his last. Within an hour since her husband’s demise, the condition of Netravati, who was in the hospital, too turned critical followed her husband. Their last rites was performed together.


Shettigar couple is survuved by three daughters and a son.
