Elderly Man found dead near Moodabidri; Police arrest two

Moodabidri: September 1, 2015: The body of an elderly man was found in a pond near a village in Moodabidre and the police arrested two person on the basis of complaint given by the locals.

The deceased has been identified as Guruva (60) from Mogerkala in Moodabidri.

The body of Guruva was found in a land belonging to him and the police have taken his two relatives into custody for interrogation.

According to the sources, Guruva’s wife Girija was staying in Kesarugudde since they both were engaged in daily quarrel.  Girja’s brother and another relative Babu were staying with Guruva.
   
On Monday night, around 8.15 pm, arguments broke out between Guruva and Sadananda subsequently Sadanand and Babu went to Poojary’s house to sleep.  Poojary noticed that the duo were carrying wooden stick and torch along with them, suspicious over their strange behavior, Poojary informed the matter to the locals who then questioned the Sadanand and Babu

As they gave inappropriate reason, the locals then informed to the police who then arrived at the spot and searched for Guruva.

The police found Guruva’s body in a pond and immediately arrested Sadananda and Babu on the basis of complaint by locals.

The police have registered a case in Moodabidri police station.
