Elderly Kolya man on scooter knocked down, killed on road

Mangalore, Sep 6, 2014:  As per reports, a resident of Madooru,  Jayaprakash (53),  was killed on the spot after the two-wheeler he was riding on was hit by a truck of Maharashtra registration on September 6 morning. He was, it is said,  a real estate broker.

A statement details,  Jayaprakash had left home in the morning to drop his daughter to a school in Thokkottu. After dropping her at school, he went to the market for purchases and was returning home on his scooter, when a truck moving on National Highway 66 knocked him down from the rear. Jayaprakash died on the spot.

Ullal police registered a case and formalities are in progress.
