Educational institution should not be harassed on the pretext of probe: N Vinay Hegde

Moodbidri, August 13, 2017: "The Government must conduct an impartial probe into the unnatural death of Kavya. But an educational institution should not be harassed in the name of investigation.  If necessary let there be a separate probe as per the guidelines meant for educational institutions. Let anyone prove as to which government hostel is better than Alva’s," said N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University.

He was addressing a huge meeting convened at Swaraj Maidan here on August 12, Saturday in support of Alva’s institution Chairman Mohan Alva.  Continuing, he said dirty politics was ruining the nation. Support those who fight for the cause of truth and those who are engaged in nation building activities, he said adding incidents like Kavya death should not recur.
