Education Minister Suresh Kumar visits school founded by Harekala Hajabba

Mangaluru, Feb 15 2020: State Education Minister  Suresh Kumar on Saturday visited the   Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Government Higher Primary School at Harekala Newpadpu, founded  by Harekala Hajabba who has won the  coveted Padma Shri Award this year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion after interacting with the simple and unassuming Harekala Hajabba, the minister described him as a real hero.  Describing his visit to the school as  significant, the Minister said he had come here to  express his gratitude to the Akshara Santha  on behalf of the people of the state. He also said Harekala Hajabba is an educationist in the true sense.

On this occasion, Hajabba submitted a memorandum to the minister enlisting several demands.

Hajabba was felicitated by the minister on the occasion. MLA U T Khader,  former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik,  school authorities and others were present.
