Mangaluru, July 15, 2016: Speaking with media, Mangaluru Bar Association President S.P. Chengappa claimed on july 14, Thursday that Deputy Superintendent of Police M.K. Ganapathy had narrated to him his ordeal and harassment at the workplace, six days before committing suicide.
“He spoke to me for nearly 30 minutes in the court premises and narrated all matters that he later revealed to a news channel (in Madikeri). Ganapathy spoke of the harassment by IPS officers A.M. Prasad and Pranob Mohanty and Bangaluru Development Minister K.J. George. He was really demoralised,” Advocate Chengappa said.
Ganapathy’s statement before a private news channel in Madikeri should be considered as dying declaration and an FIR should be registered against Minister George and two police officers.
More than a thousand advocates will attend courts today July 15, Friday wearing black bands.
