Duo arrested for looting person at knife point at Jokatte

Mangaluru, Nov 12, 2018: Panambur Police in association with the Mangaluru South Anti-Rowdy Squad have arrested two persons on the charges of   looting a person at knife point near the Jokatte Railway track.

The arrested are Naushad alias Naushad Adam alias Naushu  alias Bullet (25) and Naufal (31) of Kasba Bengre. Another accused Azhar is absconding. Police have seized a cash of Rs 1,500, three mobile phones, a Honda Activa and a knife from the arrested persons.

The incident had occurred on November 9 at around 11 pm when a person named Zalkhan was walking  near the railway track. The accused who came by a Honda Activa waylaid him and robbed him of a cash of Rs 10,000 and  two mobile phones after  brandishing a knife.
