Dreaded gangster Bannanje Raja arrested in Morocco?

Bengaluru, Feb 12, 2015: Reliable sources have indicated that dreaded gangster and notorious underworld don Bannanje Raja has been arrested at Casablanca in Morocco on February 10, Tuesday by a special investigative team of CBI, India.

Some reports state that he was apprehended  on the basis of some information provided by the police in Karnataka. A Red Corner Notice had been issued against Bannanje Raja some time back.

Raja  is an accused in several cases of murders, kidnapping, extortions and looting in Bengaluru as well as Mangaluru.

Sources revealed that Bannanje Raja was known as Hegde in Morocco where he was underground. His whereabouts came to be known after a local hotelier who did not yield to his extortion threats lodged a complaint.

It has also been gathered that Bannanje Raja  was wanted in connection with several cases in Morocco too. The police in Bengaluru are likely to leave for Morocco to take custody of Bannanje Raja.
