Dr. V. S. Acharya offers Bagina and makes promises

Udupi, Sep 5, 2011 : Dr. V. S. Acharya, the district-in-charge minister of Udupi, and his wife Shantha V. Acharya offered Bagina to River Swarna, which caters to the drinking and irrigational water requirements of Udupi and its surrounding villages, in the premises of Shri Siddivinayaka Temple near Manipal End Point on Sunday morning.

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Acharya renewed his earlier promise to develop Sheembra as a tourist destination. Last year, Dr. Acharya had offered Bagina and promised to provide facilities such as Snana Ghatta, toilets, changing rooms, and others, but the temple still lacks these facilities.

Raghupathi Bhat, the MLA of Udupi, MLC Kota Shrinivas Poojary, ZP President Katapady Shankar Poojary, DC M. T. Reju, CMC President Kiran Kumar, CMC Commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, Fisheries Federation President Yashpal Suvarna, and many others accompanied the minister.
