Dr. Shantharama Shetty to get Karavali award today

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2017: Karnataka Govt and Dakshina Kannada Zilla Karavali Utsav Samithi, has chosen orthopaedic  Dr. Shantharama Shetty for the Karvali Honorary Award for 2017-18. The 75-year-old Dr. Shetty would be presented with the award at the valedictory of the Karavli Utsav at Panmbur beach here today Dec 31,  Sunday.

A media note on Dec 30,  Saturday informs  that Dr. Shetty has been a “people’s doctor” for more than four decades now. He is a visiting professor in universities in the U.S., the U.K., Germany and India. Dr. Shetty is the president of Indian Orthopaedic Centre. He has won many awards for his medical service.  He was the first Vice-Chancellor of Nitte (deemed-to-be) University.
