Dr. Savitha Shelley of Manipal University Invited to Present Research Paper in USA

Mangaluru, Sep 21, 2016 : Dr. Savitha Shelley, Associate Professor, School of Management, Manipal University has been invited to USA to present her research paper at the 2016 APJ Abdul Kalam Research Conference. This conference features a lunch keynote address by 2014 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Kailash Satyarthi.

 

 

She will be presenting her scientific paper titled "What Determines Micro Health Insurance Enrolment - Education or Experience?" during the conference which is scheduled to be held on Friday, 23 September at the Gatton College of Business and Economics, University of Kentucky, Lexington. Her collaborative research work is jointly authored with Dr. Subrato Banaerjee, from the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.

Dr. Savitha Shelley will be participating under Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Travel Grant. The APJ Kalam India Studies Research Program, which is funded through the generous gift of Dr. M.S. Vijayaraghavan, provides travel grants to Indian researchers to enhance intellectual interaction between scholars in India and at UK.

Dr. Savitha will tour the campus and visit the faculties to foster mutual research interests between Manipal University and The Gatton College of Business and Economics, University of Kentucky, USA.
