Dr. Ravi Kumar Y S takes charge as SP of Udupi district

Udupi ,  March 26 :  Dr. Ravi Kumar Y S took charge as Superintendetn of Police of Udupi Distirct heri on Friday 25 March 2011.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Ravi Kumar Y S, a native of Bhadravthi District completed his Educaiton in Poornaprajna College Adamar Udupi District.  Mr. Ravi Kumar is an IPS officer of the 2007 batch.

He did his probation as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Bidar district. He has now taken over charge as the fulltime SP of Udupi district.

Speaking after taking charge from Additional Superintendent of Police Venkateshappa he said naxal problem has come down and about 90 per cent naxal activities have been curbed. However, there are rumours that the naxal leaders seek support from the inhabitants of the naxal prone areas by threatening and also by pleading them. If these speculations are found right, immediate measures will be taken to tackle the naxal menace in the area. he said.

   
Acting SP Venkateshappa, DySP Jayant Shetty, Kundapura ASP Rama Nivas welcomed the newly-appointed SP Dr Ravikumar.
