Dr. Kalam bestowed tributes from students

Udupi, July 31, 2015: Schoolchildren gathered in large number to pay tributes to former president A P J Abdul Kalam at a programme organised by the District Nagarika Samiti near Clock Tower in the City on July 30. Students paid floral tributes and also sung patriotic songs to pay tribute to the departed soul.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Udupi Church Parish Priest Rev. Fred Mascarenhas said that Dr. Kalam was a humble personality who spread the message of love through his childlike innocent approach. He added that the former president of India Dr.Kalam was loved throughout the country irrespective of religion and creed. Dr.Kalam is an intellectual and  inspiring character who showed that nothing is impossible. Modest origin was not a barrier for the former president to reach the great heights. His ideologies should be the role model to the youth. He preached concern and compassion towards all fellow beings equally.
