Dr H N Gopalkrishna is the new MCC commissioner

Mangaluru, Aug 05: KAS officer, Dr H N Gopalkrishna, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation effective from August 05. 2015. He is taking charge as the new commissioner following the transfer for Hephsiba Rani Korlapati in June, 2015

 

Prior to this appointment Dr Gopalkrishna was serving as the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) in Hassan.

 

It may be noted that three Commissioners in MCC were shunted  in the last 15 months under unusual circumstances. Hephsiba Rani Korlapati was the second IAS officer to take charge as the regular Commissioner of the Mangalore city corporation after Sameer Shukla, IAS, served for a few months.

Wednesday August 5, the State Government announced transfers/appointments of 49 officers in the state, including that of Dr H N Gopalkrishna. Udupi ADC, Kumar has been transferred to Mangaluru and Mangaluru ADC, Sadashiva Prabhu has been transferred to Udupi.
