Dr B M Hegde conferred Padma Vibhushan Award

Mangaluru, Nov 09, 2021: Renowned cardiologist Dr B M Hegde was conferred Padma Vibhushan Award for his distinguished service in the field of medicine.

The second highest civilian honour of the nation was presented to Dr Hegde by President Ram Nath Kovind at a ceremony held at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan on November 9, Tuesday.

Dr Hegde who has authored several books on medicine, is also the recipient of Padma Bhushan (2010)  and the Dr B C Roy Award (1999).
