Dr. Arunachalam Kumar appointed Vice-Chairman of Kanachur Academy

Mangalore, Nov 19, 2014: Prof. Arunachalam Kumar, till recently the Director (R & D) at Nitte Uiversity, has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the Kanachur Academy of General Education. Dr. Kumar has medical teaching, administrative and research experience extending to well over three decades.  He was earlier the Dean of K. S. Hegde Medical Academy , Deralakatte.  Author of over ten books and more than one hundred and twenty research papers. Prof.Kumar is recipient of the District Rajotsava Award, the TMA Pai Gold Medal for medical research and the Deccan Herald - Air India Best Teacher in State (BOLT) award.

The Kanachur Academy, sponsored by the Kanachur Islamic Education  Trust, already managing a string of educational institutions in the city, including schools and colleges, is poised for major growth with plans to open a number of new professional colleges courses.
