Do not turn off main switch: MESCOM engineer’s appeal

Puttur, April 5, 2020:  Narasimha, Executive Engineer of the Puttur division of the MESCOM has requested  people not to turn off main  switch tonight at 9 pm but instead  only  switch off lights. His appeal comes in the wake of the appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the public to turn off lights and light diyas and candles as a mark of solidarity in the fight against Coronavirus.

He said if at all everyone turn off their main switch then it may  create more problem. He also said all panchayats and local administrative bodies have been told not to switch off street lights  at  9 pm.
