Divine wrath sought for peace in DK

Mangaluru, July 22, 2017: DK District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai took part in mass prayers at Sri Rajarajeshwari temple at Polali, Uddabettu Jumma Masjid and Modankaup Infant Jesus Church and prayed for restoration of peace in the district and arrest of those responsible for the murder of RSS worker Sharath Madiwala.

Later interacting with public and media, he said that the Goddess should punish those responsible for the murder of Sharath, thereby help in restoring peace and harmony in the district.

"I have not initiated any untoward actions during my political career. Political opponents are trying to malign my career. All those who disrupt communal harmony through false propaganda should also be punished," he said. Congress leaders and workers took part in the prayer.


Anticipatory bail hearing today :  Reports say that 5 BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders, who are facing the charges of conspiracy of stone pelting during the procession of the body of RSS worker Sharath Madiwala, have moved anticipatory bail applications before Fourth Additional District and Sessions Court.

Following stone pelting and unrest, the Bantwal town police, in their FIR, had named BJP state Backward Community Morcha Secretary Satyajith Surathkal, Bajrang Dal regional coordinator Sharan Pumpwell, leader Pradeep Pumpwell, BJP Yuva Morcha district president Harish Poonja and Bajrang Dal Dakshina Prantha Goraksha Pramukh Muralikrishna Hasanthadka.

The BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders have filed anticipatory bail applications in the court on July 17. Satyajith and Poonja have filed separate applications while Muralikrishna, Sharan and Pradeep have sought anticipatory bail in one application. Advocate K S Sharma will be the counsel for the five. All the three bail applications will come for hearing today July 22, Saturday.
