District Court building is the cleanest in city

Mangaluru, Apr 05, 2016: The District Court building at Kodialbail here has bagged the first rank in the rating of government buildings here under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

 

The rating has been done by Mangaluru City Corporation as per the direction of the government. But the civic body has kept its building out from the rating process without conducting self-assessment.

Employees Provident Fund Office and Kavoor Police Station of Sub-Inspector of Police (Law and Order) have bagged the second and third ranks, respectively.

The bottom in the line of 54 offices ranked were the Government Wenlock Hospital building, Hampankatta, and MESCOM office at Nandigudda-Jeppu, both of which have got the 19th rank.

Mayor Harinath released the ranking of buildings on Monday.

Corporation commissioner H.N. Gopalakrishna said that the ranking was based on total 20 marks under four criteria. It covered cleanliness of toilet, cleanliness of entire building, management of discarded materials and overall maintenance of the premises.
