The others accused are those who had posted lewd remarks on the page of Veera Kesari, a Hindu fundamentalist Facebook group.

It may be recalled that all multiplexes of the city had on Sunday cancelled the screening of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Bollywood movie ‘Dilwale’ due to threat of attack by Bajrang Dal. Following this Vidya Dinker, who is the Co-ordinator of Citizens’ Forum for Mangalore Development (CFMD) had lodged a complaint with City Police Commissioner S. Murugan against right wing hooliganism and what she termed as ‘immoral’ policing.

She had objected to the forcible cancellation of the film’s screening and had requested the police to intervene and provide security for the screening of the movie. Based on her complaint the Pandeshwar police had filed a criminal case against the accused organization and its leaders. Enraged by this Bajrang Dal sympathizers had mounted ceaseless online attack on Vidya Dinker by posting obscene and physically threatening comments. They even used filthy language and threatened to ‘Rape’, ‘Kill’, ‘Smash the Head’ etc.

More details are awaited.
