Diabetic Retinopathy Screening camp conducted

Mangaluru, Nov 16,2016: Center for Health and Development, India along with Catholic Sabha, Rosario Cathedral conducted a free retina check up camp for diabetic patients on Nov !3, Sunday. Dr. Nameeth Dsouza, Eye Surgeon along with Dr May conducted the screening camp. The camp in the Cathedral premises saw enthusiastic response from the people in the surroundings.

The participating group was first educated about diabetes prevention and the need for retina check up to prevent diabetes retinopathy was explained in depth by Dr. Nameeth.  Dr. Edmond Fernandes, Chief Executive, Center for Health and Development, India and Member- DDMA, Government of Karnataka was present for the function. Rev J B Crasta, Parish Priest, Rosario Cathedral presided over the function. The center is set to conduct more such camps soon.
