Diabetes awareness ’Rally’ by nursing studentsheld in Udupi

Udupi, Nov 12 2019:  Speaking at a diabetes awareness jatha organised by Adarsha Hospital, District Hospital, Department of Health and Family Welfare, National Health Campaign, and PPC College at Ajjarakadu,  Udupi Superintendent of Police Nisha James, poited to daily exercise, diet and regular health checks are vital to control diabetes.

 SP James said “Diabetes is a slow killer. It has an impact on various organs. One needs to take precautionary measures to prevent the disease.”

MLA K Raghupathi Bhat said “There is a rise in the number of people suffering from diabetes. Adjustment to lifestyles helps to control diabetes.”

Over 2,000 students of various nursing colleges in Udupi participated in the jatha.

The jatha which was flagged off at Ajjarakadu passed through Jodukatte, Diana Circle, K M Road before culminating at Adarsha Hospital. People were enthusiastic to know about better life styles and diets.
