Development should be your sole agenda, Minister Rai tells Corporators

Mangaluru, Mar 31, 2017 : Various facilities  provided to the disabled and the needy under the  24.10%, 7.25% and 3% funds were distributed  at a function held at  Town Hall on March 31, Friday under the aegis of the   Mangaluru City Corporation. DK District in-charge Minister  B Ramanatha Rai inaugurated the programme.

In his address, Rai lauded  MCC for identifying deserving beneficiaries under the scheme and  also stated that the government was doing its level best to strive for the welfare of the weak and the downtrodden in the society.

He also stated that elected representatives must place public interest   above personal interests and have development as their sole agenda.

JR Lobo, Moidin Bava, MLAs, Gokuldas Nayak, Deputy Commissioner of MCC (Administration), Kavitha  Sanil, Mayor , Mohammad Nazeer, MCC Commissioner, Shashidhar Hegde, former mayor, Sabitha Misquith, Appi, Corporators and others were present.

A total of 1,706 beneficiaries  received facilities under various schemes on the occasion.
