Development not on expected lines in state, alleges MP Shobha Karandlaje

Kundapur, Jan 4, 2016: The people are disillusioned with the style of functioning of the Siddaramaiah led state government  which has failed to  initiate developmental projects on expected lines, alleged Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje.

She was speaking to reporters at the Koteshwara Sharada Kalyana Mantap on January 4, Monday.  Referring to the Congress win in the MLC election, Shobha charged the Congress of luring voters and winning the election.

Also sharply criticising several Bhagya schemes of the state government including the Ksheera Bhagya, Shaadi Bhagya and Anna Bhagya, she said they  have completely failed. The government has even failed to feel the pulse of the people, she said.

She further charged the government of failure to utilise Central government funds to the fullest extent. Referring to the state government notification   with regard to  25 per cent cut in Union Government funds given to Gram Panchayats to pay the electricity bills of the panchayat, Shobha  said it was not proper on the state government to do so.

She spoke about the BJP preparations for the forthcoming Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat  polls and added that candidates will be selected  through democratic means.

Regarding toll collection, Shobha said she was against collection of toll on  highways where the works are incomplete.
