Derailed goods train blocks traffic for hours

Mangalore, Sep 15: A good train was derailed near Hoige Bazaar on the evening of September 15 Friday blocking traffic for several hours. 

The train was derailed at 6:30 p.m. when its last coach went off track after unloading cement.
Many people who were returning home from work were stranded for nearly two hours. Buses plying from Pandeshwar were diverted to Attavar. The traffic police rushed to the spot and tried to clear the block. 

 

 

 

The train is still derailed and will be put back on track at the earliest possible.
Fortunately, there were no injuries.
