Defence liquor worth over Rs. 1.5 lakh seized from BJP Yuva Morcha leader’s house

Brahmavar, April 09, 2024: The Udupi Excise police have raided the residence of a BJP Yuva Morcha leader on the night of April 8, Monday and have seized  defence liquor worth several lakhs of rupees which was illegally stocked in the house.

 

In view of the Model Code of conduct that is in force, the raid was conducted under the guidance of the senior excise officials at the residence of Ramesh Prabhu at Indiranagar. Prabhu’s son is a leader of Udupi District BJP Yuva Morcha.

Officials seized 33,500 litres of defence liquor worth Rs 1,55,000 and arrested Ramesh Prabhu.
