Defamatory posts in social media against Dharmasthala :Auto driver arrested

Belthangady, Mar 12, 2015: A youth identified as Naveen K Gowda(25) from Rekhya village near Enjira in Belthangady taluk was arrested by the police on March 11, Wednesday  for allegedly spreading defamatory and malicious messages through social sites  regarding Dharmasthala Temple and its Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.

naveen.jThe arrested person is an autorickshaw driver and he  used to reportedly post Whatsapp and Facebook messages defaming  the Temple and the management. Police investigations revealed that the messages were sent through his cell phone. He is to be produced before court on March 12, Thursday

The police acted after  some people including Dhanakeerthi Ariga and Rajendra Das filed complaints. Sources said police are searching for some more people likely to have been involved in the act.

In the meantime, the authorities have blocked some pages in Facebook where malicious messages and posts have been found.
