December to see Zimbabwe vs Mangaluru Cricket tournament

Mangaluru, May 6, 2018: The cricket tournament between Zimbabwe and Mangaluru teams in the 15 and 16 age group category will be organised under the aegis of Karavali Cricket Academy from December 11 to 15 at Sahyadri Engineering College cricket ground.

Former Zimbabwean cricketer Heath Streak said that, “There are cricket talents in coastal districts. There is a need to promote cricket at a young age. Hence, the Academy will organise a T20 cricket tournament for the teams comprising 15 and 16 years of age group from Mangaluru and Zimbabwe. I am coming to Mangaluru for the second time. It is a great pleasure to spend time with the cricket talents of the region.”

Cricket players from Karavali Cricket Academy got his autograph on their bats while children had a good time clicking selfies with Streak.

Santhosh of Karavali Cricket Academy said, “The tournament will be held for five days. It will be a league-type game. ”
