Bantwal, Oct 13, 2018: The death of a 11 year old girl at Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru where she was admitted following complaints of fever, chills and vomiting, has sparked off a row with the girl’s parents filing a police complaint accusing doctors at Wenlock of medical negligence.
The girl, Rakshitha who was the daughter of Vittal Poojary from Agrar in Bantwal, was taken to the Government Hospital at Bantwal on Wednesday as she was suffering from fever. The girl, a fifth standard student, had attended the Agrar Church School as usual on Thursday.
However, on Friday she suffered from fever again following which a blood test was done. Though she was given drips at Bantwal hospital, she began to vomit and was rushed to Wenlock as per the advice of doctors at Bantwal. However, she breathed her last there.
