Days after delivery, woman jumps off hospital building

Kasargod, April 26, 2016:  A woman who had delivered a baby girl just five days ago, has reportedly committed suicide by jumping  from the fifth floor of the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital where she was admitted.

The deceased woman is Simi (31), wife of Ramdas hailing from Hosadurga Alamipalli. Simi had delivered  a baby girl on April 20 at the Kanhangad District Hospital and was subsequently shifted to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital after she began to bleed heavily.

Sources said the woman was suffering from depression ever since her delivery.

Local police have registered a case.
