Dakshina Kannada registers its 17th Covid-19 positive case on Thursday

dakshina kannada covid-19Mangaluru, April 23, 2020: Dakshina Kannada district recorded yet another Covid-19 positive case on Thursday, April 23rd. With this the tally of Covid-19 cases in Dakshina Kannada has risen to 17.

The victim is a 75-year-old woman from Bantwal, a relative of the deceased 50-year-old woman (P-390) in Bantwal, deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, said in an official communique.

She was treated for stroke in a private hospital from 18th March and shifted to Wenlock Hospital on 22nd April, 2020. Her throat swab was sent for testing and report confirmed her to be afflicted with Covid-19, the DC said.

With this, there are four COVID-19 active patients who are undergoing treatment in the district. As many as 12 patients have been discharged and death of a 50-year-old woman in Bantwal.
