Dakshina Kannada registers 7 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday

Mangaluru, Jun 21, 2020: Seven people from Dakshina Kannada tested positive for COVID-19 including a influenza-like illness (ILI) on Sunday, June 21.

Among the 7 cases reorted, three are Kuwait returnees, one has influenza-like illness (ILI) and  a severe acute respiratory illness (SARI). The remaining two persons contracted the infection from patient P-6618.

17 patients were recovered and discharged from hospital on Sunday. Dakshina kannada have reported total of 433 positive cases, including 10 persons from other districts. As many as 223 persons have been discharged and eight deaths have occurred so far.

Udupi district has reported no positive cases on Sunday, while two patients were recovered and discharged from hospital. Till date Udupi district has reoprted total of 1063 cases with 96 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 965 patients recovered and discharged. The district has reported two COVID-19 fatality.
